the Porch goes to Paul Smith's
Homesteading Festival
September 28, 2019
The Cure Porch on Wheels went to Paul Smith's Homesteading and Rural Skills Festival on Saturday!
Over the weekend people gathered at Paul Smith's VIC to share about sustainable agriculture, lumbering, folk arts, and other rural skills. Despite the rain in the morning, the festival had a great turn out!
For the occasion, the Porch turned into a mini-exhibit about art made by TB patients. Occupational therapy was an important part of the cure, and much of Saranac Lake's art community has its roots in patient care. Thank you to everyone who helped make the festival possible and turned out to celebrate and learn with us! We'll be there next year!
