Progress of the Cure POrch on Wheels Windows
September 13, 2018: The Finished Frames
Historic Saranac Lake is anticipating the arrival of the custom-made wood sliding windows for the Cure Porch on Wheels on September 21st. Mike Mahoney's team at Blue Moon Builders have completed the window frames, and are awaiting the arrival of the glass to finish the project. Blue Moon Builders are modeling the windows off of existing cure porch windows, molding the details to the architectural standard of the day. Windows are one of the key architectural features of cure porches, and by creating authentic detailing, Historic Saranac Lake aims to celebrate the architectural heritage of this unique feature of the town. |
