Progress on Construction of the Porch

The construction of the Cure Porch on Wheels is moving forward. After constructing the steel frame of the Porch, Donald Rumble Carpentry has quickly added the wood nailers, floor, sheathing, and the trusses. With only a few more days of construction left, Historic Saranac Lake is preparing to move the Porch to it's permanent home at the Saranac Laboratory. There, HSL's team of volunteers will continue construction during the summer before the Porch is wheeled to the BOCES Building Trades shop where local students will finish the work. Email [email protected] or call 518-891-4606 for more information about how you can get involved with the construction of the Cure Porch on Wheels.
