The Cure Porch on Wheels went to Donnelly's on Monday! Our first outing with the Porch was a huge success. We ate ice cream, talked about local history, and shared our favorite Donnelly's stories!
Donnelly's ice cream stand opened in 1953 as part of Crystal Spring Dairy, and since then they have been a local institution. We recorded so many wonderful stories about Donnelly's, from memories of the Crystal Spring milk truck, to a story about a letter addressed to "the guy with the beard and glasses" left at the ice cream stand.

Thank you so much to Pete and Martha Donnelly for hosting us, and to everyone who shared a story with us!
